<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal line printer which can shorten the printing time by shortening a long time excitation associated with an initial excitation until the temperature of end part heating elements of divided regions reaches a predetermined temperature in the case of time-shared driving. SOLUTION: Excitation to all excitation elements of a region N1 is started at a time t0 . When excitation to normal excitation elements of the region N1 finishes at a time t2 , long time excitation elements present at the end part of the region N1 and long time excitation elements at the end part of a region N2 are simultaneously excited for a timeΔT from the time t2 to a time t4 .</p> |
