PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system that can accurately reconstruct an image of a region of interest (ROI) of a long subject, eliminating the contaminated components of data. SOLUTION: A set of image data of the region of interest of the subject is collected along a scanning path for helical scan, and contaminated data corresponding to the image data on the outside of the region of interest of the subject are discriminated from the set of the collected image data. The image of the region of interest is reconstructed using the set of image data excluding the contaminated data.
