PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic drive unit in which thrust decreases with increase of driving force. SOLUTION: The magnetic drive unit comprises a driving magnet 11 and a driven magnet 12 both having almost same shape, and has a solid surrounded by opposite surfaces almost parallel to each other and circumferential side surfaces to cover an outer circumference between the opposite surfaces. The whole area of one surface of the circumferential side surface is made into a magnetic pole of one pole, and the whole area of the other surface being the surface opposite to the one surface of the circumferential side surface is made into the magnetic pole of the other pole. The opposite surface of the driving magnet 11 and the driven magnet 12 and almost parallelized, and the driving magnet 11 and the driven magnet 12 are provided face to face so that the central extended line 13 passing in common through the center of the almost parallel opposite surfaces of the driving magnet 11 coincides with the central extended line 13 passing in common through the center of the almost parallel opposite surfaces of the driven magnet.
