PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for inquiring product stock convenient for both of a user and a maker. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a product stock information database accumulating the quantity of product stock at each business office with reference to product specific information for specifying products, a product specifying means specifying a product which a user desires and quantity thereof from the product specific information, and a stock inquiring host computer having a function extracting the quantity of stock with reference to the product specific information from the database base on the product specific information specified by the product specifying means and judging and indicating the existence of stock over a specified product quantity. The product specifying means includes a user computer connected to a public communication circuit which can be publicly used. The product specifying information and product quantity sent by the user computer via the public communication circuit are inputted to a host computer for inquiring stock and a judgment result of the host computer for inquiring stock can be indicated on the user computer. |
