PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor controller where a detection circuit for detecting abnormal rotation of a fan motor surely grasps the state of driving of the fan motor. SOLUTION: The fan motor controller uses a fan motor, whose number of revolutions has specified characteristics with respect to the applied voltage. In normal operation, the fan motor controller applies a voltage of not less than a first voltage value to the fan motor for controlling the drive thereof. When the operation of the fan motor is checked, the controller applies to the fan motor a voltage which is not used in normal operation and is lower than the first voltage value, and detects the number of revolutions of the fan motor. If the detected number of revolutions of the fan motor deviates from the specified characteristics, the controller determines that abnormal revolution of the fan motor has been detected. |
