PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bath agent having excellent sense of use, moisturizing activities and heat-retaining activities. SOLUTION: This bath agent contains an alkylene oxide derivative represented by the general formula: R<1> O-[(AO)m (EO)n ]-R<2> (wherein, AO is a 3-4C oxyalkylene group; EO is an oxyethylene group; m and n are the average numbers of added moles of the 3-4C oxyalkylene groups and the oxyethylene groups respectively, and regulated so as to satisfy the relations of 1<=m<=70 and 1<=n<=70, and so that the proportion of the oxyalkylene groups based on the total of the oxyalkylene groups and the oxyethylene groups is 20-80 wt.%, with the proviso that the addition type of the oxyalkylene groups and the oxyethylene groups may be a block or random type; R<1> and R<2> are same or different, and each a 1-4C hydrocarbon group or a hydrogen atom, in an amount regulated so that the proportion of the number of the hydrogen atoms based on the number of the hydrocarbon groups of R<1> and R<2> is <=0.15).
