<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a generator of a vehicle which can materialize the reduction of the ripple of tension of a transmission belt caused by the change of inertial torque accompanying the rotation ripple of an internal combustion engine, capable of keeping the durability and the downsizing without being accompanied with the cost up. <P>SOLUTION: The controller 6 of an AC generator 1 for a vehicle performs the inertial torque reduction control at low revolution when an average value of revolution signalsωis below a specified value. An inertial torque reduction control circuit 66 compares the average value of the revolution with an instantaneous value of the revolution and closes a power transistor 61 in a deceleration period when the side of the instantaneous value becomes larger, thereby supplying field winding 4 with an exciting current. Moreover, in a deceleration period when the side of the instantaneous value becomes smaller, it opens the power transistor 61, thereby stopping the supply of an exciting current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
