<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment capable of obtaining a toning equal to water based ink using a dye and also a pigment ink excellent in durability, and to provide the pigment ink using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A porous material is composed of inorganic particles that are amorphous and have pores with a uniform diameter, wherein an average particle diameter DL of a particle determined by a dynamic light scattering is 10-400 nm, and a difference SB-SL of a reduced specific surface area SL determined from DL and a N<SB>2</SB>absorption specific surface area SB of the particle by the BET method, is 250 m<SP>2</SP>/g or above. The porous material and the dye are bonded to produce the pigment, and this pigment is dispersed with a dispersant and a wetting agent in water to produce the pigment ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
