TRANSPARENT HIGH-IMPACT RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-impact resin composition which is cheap, excellent in low-temperature impact resistance and blocking resistance without detriment to heat stability, heat resistance, and moldability, and suitable for e.g. a transparent styrene resin sheet.

SOLUTION: This transparent high-impact resin composition comprises (a) a block copolymer having polymer blocks consisting mainly of aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon units and polymer blocks consisting mainly of conjugated diene units and (b) a rubber-modified aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon polymer obtained by grafting an aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon onto a rubbery conjugated diene polymer. The composition is characterized in that the median diameter of the dispersed rubbery particles of ingredient (b) is 1.5-20μm; that the cis-bond content of the rubbery conjugated diene polymer in the rubber-modified aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon polymer is 90-100 mass%; and that the graft ratio g of the rubber-modified aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon polymer is 1.40-4.00.
