PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open showcase capable of properly securing a displaying space for commodities corresponding to demand of customers with a change of seasons or the like by changing over cold insulation and heat insulation of a commodity housing part and not exchanging the open showcase. SOLUTION: The open showcase 10 has the commodity housing part 21 formed in a showcase body 11, a cold insulating means of insulating cold by covering the commodity housing part 21 by an air curtain of cold air, and a heating means composed of heaters 22a and 22b provided in a plurality of display shelves 22 in the commodity storing part 21. It has an operation control means of changing over the cold insulation and the heat insulation of the commodity housing part 21 by controlling operation of the cold insulating means and operation of the heat insulating means.
