<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate which prevents electrification to make it difficult for dust and dirt to attach, with which a yield is improved in a polarizing plate punching process, and which is of high performance and excellent in size stability and in temporal stability in particular and has an electrification prevention ability. <P>SOLUTION: This polarizing plate is long and has a polarization film whose absorption axis is neither parallel nor vertical in a longitudinal direction and a protective film coated with an antistatic agent. A protective film, the polarization film and the protective film covered with the antistatic agent are laminated in this order.
