<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a primary amine, comprising hydrogenating a nitrile in the presence of a catalyst which can easily be handled and can more profitably be provided than a catalyst not supported on a carrier. <P>SOLUTION: This primary amine is obtained by hydrogenating the nitrile in the presence of the catalyst carried on the granular carrier and comprising cobalt and, if necessary, additionally nickel and at least one of other doping metals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
