PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive rivet caulking device for fitting an electric connector to a substrate of small parts number and simple structure. SOLUTION: The rivet caulking device has a support die 50 and a crimper as a press die. The electric connector 100 is transferred as a substrate assembly 101 in the direction of an arrow A on the lower side of the substrate 150. The electric connector 100 transferred from the upstream side is moved to a flat surface 76 while a head part 116 of the rivet 110 slides on an inclined surface 74a of a sub block 60 of the support die 50. A head part 116 of the rivet 110 is seated in a recessed part 84 formed in the flat surface 76. Clear feeling when positioned such as the click feeling or modest feeling is given to a hand to move the substrate 150. Then, the crimper is moved downwardly, a tip part 112 of the rivet 110 is squeezed and caulked to fix the electric connector 100 to the substrate 150. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
