PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of inhibiting the biased wear in the early or initial period of the wear and improving the wet braking performance in the later wear period. SOLUTION: In the initial wear region AE, a sipe 26 viewed from the flat tread surface is linear, and therefore, the edge component extending in the tire width direction or inclining in the tire width direction can be eliminated and the biased wear of an inner rib 22B can be effectively inhibited. In the later wear region LE, the sipe 26 viewed from the flat tread surface is zigzag- shaped, and therefore, the sipe 26 comes to have the edge component in the tire width direction or inclining in the tire width direction as the tire wears out.
