PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an efficient recycle of a thermoplastic resin and a fibrous material by separating the fibrous material from a thermoplastic resin composition containing the fibrous material. SOLUTION: A method for recovering the thermoplastic resin by separating the fibrous material from the thermoplastic resin composition containing the fibrous material with an aspect ratio of higher than 10, which includes a process to diminish the aspect ratio of the fibrous material below 10.
