<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve image interpolation for overcoming defects of the linear interpolation. <P>SOLUTION: One vector field of motion vectors 27, 28 between original pictures IMG. 21, 22 is required for forming an object 26 in an intermediate picture 23. When knowing the desired intermediate picture beforehand, it is possible to adjust parameter values of the motion vectors 27, 28 of the vector field for forming the intermediate picture 23.
