<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate which attains an improved yield in a polarizing plate stamping step, further has excellent flexibility and strength adequate to be suck to a display device and has an adhesive layer maintaining excellent dimensional stability over a long period of time, a method for manufacturing the polarizing plate and a display device using the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The long polarizing plate comprises at least a polarizing film with a polarizing function wherein an absorption axis of the polarizing film is neither parallel nor vertical to a longitudinal direction, a polarization degree of the polarizing plate is 80% or higher at 550 nm, further transmittance of each individual plate is 35% or more at 550 nm (a), at least a surface of the polarizing film is coated with a protective film, further an angle between the absorption axis of the polarizing film and a slow axis of the protective film is ≥10° and <90° (b) and the adhesive layer containing a cross-linking agent is disposed on at least a surface of the protective film (c). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
