<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent accidents disabling a transmission line circuit breaker by suppressing a rush current excited by a reactor when a voltage is applied, and eliminate zero miss phenomena by accelerating attenuation. <P>SOLUTION: A resistor 21 is connected in series to a reactor 3 that is connected to each of the phases (a) to (c) of a transmission cable 1, while at the same time a switch 22 is connected in parallel with the resistor 21 to compose a resistor circuit 23. A control circuit 24, which controls the transmission line circuit breaker 4 and the switch 22, opens the switch 22 in the resistor circuit 23 when a voltage is applied, throws the transmission cable breaker 4 with the resistor inserted in series in the reactor 3, then shorts the resistor after a previously set prescribed period by closing the switch 22 in the resistor circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
