<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control device capable of reliably utilizing a vehicle speed range from a stop state to an upper limit vehicle speed without any load on a braking system. <P>SOLUTION: A travel control unit 10 of a parking support ECU 1 determines an inclined condition of a road surface based on information such as outputs of a wheel speed sensor 32, an acceleration sensor 33 and brake hydraulic pressure or the like given to a wheel cylinder 38 by an actuator 34, and prohibits an operation if exceeding the operational range of vehicle speed control performed by controlling a braking force given by the wheel cylinder 38 while increasing the torque of an engine 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
