WIPING MEMBER, DEVICE FOR MAINTAINING DISCHARGE CHARACTERISTIC, AND INKJET RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping member which can wipe a nozzle formation face of a recording head by an appropriate strength without generating unwiped parts and wiping irregularities. SOLUTION: The wiping member 11 is constituted of a free end side wiping part 12 which is pressed to the nozzle formation face while it is elastically deformed at a wiping time, and a base end side supporting part 13 which is formed of a material having a relatively high hardness to the wiping part 12. The wiping member 11 wipes the nozzle formation face of the inkjet recording head which records by discharging ink from nozzles towards a recording medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
