<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a bar code reader small-sized and lightweight and to realize a proper construction of electric wiring lines. <P>SOLUTION: The bar code reader is equipped with a housing 2 which holds an optical element for bar code reading in one body and is supported in a freely swingable state in a support member 1 around a support shaft 3B, swing driving means (20, 21, 22) which swing the housing 2, electric conducive patterns 17B which are provided on the both flank parts of the housing 2 in the state where the patterns 17B are arranged along a concentric circle with the support shaft 3B as the center nearby the support shaft 3B, and conductive terminals 19B for external connection which are elastically pressed against the conductive pattern 17B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
