PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an inevitable adverse effect or reduced traveling stability caused by an unnecessary braking operation, in a lane keeping support system for raising an alarm to arouse a driver's attention when detecting a vehicle deviation from a lane. SOLUTION: A CPU 10 commands an alarming means 80 to raise an alarm when detecting a vehicle deviation from a lane. A CPU 20 determines whether or not only a steering operation after the alarm can avoid the lane deviation, and if determining that the avoidance is possible or if a braking operation is unnecessary, controls a brake controlling actuator 90 to correct braking force to a reduced level. Even when a driver reflectively hastily brakes hard upon the deviation alarm, resulting braking force is not so large to suppress a needless adverse effect or reduced traveling stability by hard vehicle braking.
