PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which does not require a power source such as a driving motor for pressurizing and supplying ink. SOLUTION: A carriage of the recorder comprises an ink supply pump 20 capable of receiving ink through an ink supply tube from an ink cartridge provided at a body of the recorder. The ink supply pump 20 is equipped with a cylindrical member 21 and a moving member 26 slidably accommodated in the cylindrical member 21, and the moving member 26 has a one-way valve 25. The moving member 26 is relatively moved in the cylindrical member 21 by its inertia by virtue of acceleration or deceleration of the carriage at a time when the carriage is reciprocated.
