<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain magnification in size and increment in weight in a motor compressor. <P>SOLUTION: Since an electric part 42 is formed between a virtual tangential plane S abutting with an outer barrel face 31a and the outer barrel face 31a and is accommodated in groove 32, waste thickness (dead space) can be effectively applied. Accordingly, the magnification in size and the increment in weight in the motor compressor 10 can be restrained. Furthermore, since a portion of the waste thickness vanish and thickness of a motor housing 31 can be thinned, the electric part 42 can be securely cooled by refrigerant of suction flowing into the motor housing 31. Accordingly, the electric part 42 need not be enlarged so as to increase radiating capacity of the electric part 42 and since the electric part 42 which is high in heat resisting temperature is unnecessary, reliability and durability of the electric part 40 is enhanced, while miniaturization and cost reduction in manufacture for the electric part 42 are realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
