<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an electromagnetic pump in an inverted state, to reduce the generation of noise, and to shorten a length of piping in the electromagnetic pump and a fuel system using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a solenoid valve mounted upside down and having a fluid suction port on its upper part, a discharge valve 5 is composed of a mortar- shaped discharge valve seat 50 and a discharge valve element 51 of a convex spherical face, and the valve seat 50 and the valve element 51 have slant faces inclined to the fluid flowing direction. The discharge valve element 51 is provided with a groove G for eliminating bubbles from the inside of a coil of a discharge valve coil spring 52. The electromagnetic pump is fixed to a mounting base through an elastic member. Whereby the deviation of the discharge valve element 51 is inhibited, the valve opening pressure is stabilized, and the impulsive sound upon closing is relieved. The generation of the noise caused by bubbles and the transmission of the noise of the electromagnetic pump to the external is reduced, and the length of the piping is shortened by mounting the electromagnetic pump in the inverted state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
