PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a difference between right and left is hardly caused on the surface potential of a photoreceptor without using a part which is essentially unnecessary as an electrifying means. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus equipped with the photoreceptor 10, a gear 11 for driving the photoreceptor which is provided at the end of the photoreceptor 10, a driving gear 20 meshed with the gear 11 so as to drive the photoreceptor 10, and a non-contact type electrifier 30 arranged to be opposed to the photoreceptor 10 and electrifying the photoreceptor 10 without coming into contact with the photoreceptor 10; the center O1 of the gear 11 for driving the photoreceptor, the center O2 of the driving gear 20 and the center O3 of the electrifier 30 are arranged nearly on a straight line L.
