<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system by which a quantity of uniform and long-term-stable light can be output to the width direction of a planographic printing plate and by which all defect parts generated in the planographic printing plate can be detected by an inspection apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 54 as an inspection lighting system is provided with a mechanical shutter 64 which mechanical adjusts a quantity of light propagated to a quartz rod 32 from a metal halide lamp 36. When the mechanical shutter 64 is opened and closed, the quantity of light incident on a CCD camera as reflected light can be adjusted. A dimmer circuit measures the reflected light incident on the CCD camera, the mechanical shutter 64 is controlled to be opened and closed in such a way that a quantity of the reflected light represents a definite value, and light is automatically dimmed. Since the light is dimmed automatically on the side of the lighting system 54 so as to make the quantity of light constant, an aged deterioration of a detection property due to a deterioration of the lighting system 54 is not generated, and the defect parts can be detected in an optimum state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
