FIELD: money.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of banknotes to check the degree of contamination. Banknote is exposed to light irradiation on a set of wavelengths. Image of the banknote is obtained for each wave length. Formed image of the ratio of IR, having a pixel value, which represents a ratio of the pixel value, image obtained using visible radiation to the value of the corresponding pixel of the image obtained using infrared light. Image of the banknote and image of the ratio of IR are corrected using coefficient corresponding to the type of banknotes, orientation of the banknote and wave length. Using the image of banknote or image of the ratio of IR, using information relating to the type of banknotes, orientation of the banknote and wave length, the intermediate values are calculated for each wave length. Mahalanobis distance is calculated based on intermediate values assessment, average value and variation-covariance matrix for intermediate values of an assessment and defined a degree of contamination on the basis of Mahalanobis distance.EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of checking.9 cl, 16 dwg |
