<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for musical performance with feet for performing a richly expressive and diversified musical performances by a foot operation. <P>SOLUTION: A musical sound is emitted when a step is detected at any sensor part 10 of operation sections PA1 to PA5. At the same time, when any one of the operation sections PA6, PA7 and PA9 is stepped, the generation mode of a musical sound emitted then is changed. For example, when the operation section PA7 is stepped almost simultaneously with the operation section PA3, a musical sound is controlled so as to rise only by a semitone for 'E', thereby a musical sound of a sound pitch 'E#' is generated.
