PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffraction structure formation body with a patterned metal reflecting layer formed by processing a metal reflecting layer in a fine pattern shape at a high speed and its manufacturing method, diffraction structure transfer foil using the diffraction structure formation body having the patterned metal reflecting layer, a diffraction structure sticker, diffraction structure transfer foil, and an information recording medium with the diffraction structure using the diffraction structure sticker.

SOLUTION: A photoresist layer 15 is formed on the surface of a metal reflecting layer 13 conforming with the shape of the diffraction structure, a mask layer 15b is formed, and the metal reflecting layer is formed in a pattern shape 13b by etching. The metal reflecting layer of the diffraction structure formation body having the metal reflecting layer conforming with the shape of the diffraction structure is provided in a pattern shape on the surface of the diffraction structure.
