A procedure for making flat heat exchangers especially for solar collectors has one or more plates connected simultaneously with one or more heat-guiding elements. Plates (10) and heat-guiding elements (11) are brought into contact with a region (22,24) made of moving liquid solder (21), are wetted by this and are thereby joined. The element(s) touch(es) the plate(s). The region made of moving liquid solder and the plate(s) with the element(s) are moved relative to one another. The region made of moving liquid solder is generated as one or more waves (22) or surges in a container by devices moving the solder in targeted fashion.
