PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning member which enables obtaining good images for a long time in an inkjet recorder, and an inkjet recorder using the cleaning member. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recorder using a recording head for recording by discharging a liquid, a cleaning unit is provided which includes a cleaning means for cleaning a liquid discharge part of the recording head. A leading end of the cleaning means curves tracing a nozzle face of the recording head to wipe ink adhering to the periphery of the discharge part of the recording head. A plurality of members are formed in the cleaning means, whereby at least a part of the cleaning member can guide the wiped ink in a predetermined direction.
