FIELD: mechanical engineering; piston engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piston internal combustion engines with spark ignition system. Combustion chamber of internal combustion piston engine is formed by outer flat surface of piston crown and cavity in head in form of segments of intersecting spherical surfaces and surface of conical hole in zone of spark plug electrode. Segments of spherical surfaces are arranged so that their centers are located on extensions of valve axes. Additional segment of spherical surface is provided in zone of spark plug electrode. Invention provides high efficiency of working process owing to reliable cleaning of cylinder from exhaust gases, turbulization of charge of fresh fuel-air mixture and optimization of ignition and combustion of mixture.
