<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete data transmission of all slave stations in a short time, even if data transmissions are concentrated at a master station. <P>SOLUTION: In a monitoring data transmission system for transmitting monitoring data accompanying changes in the states of slave stations 21-23 and 31-33 to a master station 10, three stations 21-23 are included in a slave station group 20, and three stations 31-33 are included in a slave station group 30. When a status change occurs in a normal monitoring item in each of the slave stations, each of the slave stations (21, 31) which is positioned on the top of each group performs data transmission. That means, the status change of the monitoring item occurs in the group, first, the data is transmitted to the slave station positioning on the top of each of the group, and the slave station which has received the data adds the received data to the data of its own station, and transmits the data to a higher slave station.
