<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a liquid crystal display panel which minimizes the number of rotations and overturnings for performing scribing, and cuts a unit liquid crystal display panel from a scribed mother substrate with a simple operation, and to provide a method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The device for cutting the liquid crystal display panel comprises: a first scribing unit which forms a first intended cutting line on the surfaces of a first and second mother substrates by using a first and second wheels, and applies pressure to at least a portion of the first intended cutting line with a first roll; a second scribing unit which forms a second intended cutting line on the surfaces of the first and second mother substrate by using a third and fourth wheels, and applies pressure to at least a portion of the second intended cutting line with a second roll; and a first rotating unit which rotates the first and second mother substrates in order to form the second intended cutting line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
