<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternating-current generator-motor for vehicle wherein electric torque is increased in electric operation. <P>SOLUTION: The alternating-current generator-motor 100 for vehicle comprises: a three-phase winding 1 as a polyphase winding contained in an armature; a field winding contained in a rotor; an AC-DC power converter 3; and a controller 4. The AC-DC power converter 3 comprises eight transistors 41 to 48 wherein diodes 31 to 38 are respectively connected in parallel between each source and drain of the transistors. The controller 4 switches the on/off timing of each of the eight transistors 41 to 48 contained in the AC-DC power converter 3, and thereby exercises control so that currents of the same magnitudes are passed through the individual phases of the three-phase winding 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
