<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder which can obtain high-quality images by reducing density irregularities at joints caused by a phase difference of arrangements of recording elements between adjacent recording heads. <P>SOLUTION: The image recorder has a first and a second recording heads 11 and 12 coupled to have an overlapping part of periodically arranged recording elements, an image data distributing means 2 for distributing image data to these recording heads 11 and 12, an image data distribution region moving means for setting within the overlapping part, image data distribution regions where image data of the same pixel is distributed by the image data distributing means 2 to both recording heads 11 and 12, a correcting parameter storage means 5 for storing a correcting parameter to correct a difference of density characteristics of the image data distribution regions and the other region which is caused by the phase difference of the recording heads 11 and 12, and an image data correcting means 4 for correcting image data of the image data distribution regions based on the correcting parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
