PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency escape apparatus allowing a number of people to escape one after another, particularly even women and children with low physical strength to easily escape to above the ground. SOLUTION: This escape apparatus includes at least a circulating means consisting of a circulating rope, a circulating belt or the like suspended in a loop form so as to circulate between a high-floor portion of a building 1 and the ground, and a plurality of nacelles 30 connected with the circulating means and moving along therewith. When at least one of the nacelles 30 reaches the ground by the dead load thereof, another nacelle 30 circulates toward the high-floor portion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
