PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an O/W type and a W/O type high water content emulsified composition which is a high water-containing emulsion composition containing a copolymer of acrylic acid with an alkyl methacrylate, improved in long term emulsion stability and operability in application by preventing contamination of air bubbles during emulsification and whitening during application. SOLUTION: The emulsified composition contains a) a copolymer of an alkyl methacrylate having an 8-34C alkyl with acrylic acid, b) an organic amine and c) a liquid silicone oil having <80 mm<SP>2</SP>/s viscosity at 25°C and has≥75% water content. The composition preferably contains an oily ingredient such as a higher alcohol, a higher fatty acid, an alkyl ester of the higher fatty acid or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
