<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a real-time data transmission system according to a communication quality. <P>SOLUTION: A streaming transmission application checks the quality of a Bluetooth link through a host controller interface (HCI). In response to a reduction in the quality, the application increases a compression rate when encoding streaming data to decrease the size of a transfer packet. Since a retransmission margin to transmit a previous packet before the transmission of the next packet is started is increased, streaming with a less-interrupted reproduced sound can be realized. Since it is only required for a buffer on the receiver side to have a small buffer, a delay from the transmission of data to reception and reproduction of the data can also be made small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
