<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure waterproof performance identical to that of a waterproof wrist watch as data communication equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A watch 11 having a case main body 26 and a rear cover 27 and worn with the rear cover 27 in contact with a human body is provided with a watch part 24 for notifying time information, a pair of electrodes 21 and 22 formed on a front face side of the rear cover 27 made of insulating material, a data communication part 23 housed in a case 28 and for performing data communication with the outside through the first and second electrodes 21 and 22 with a living body as a part of a transmission path, contact terminals 41 and 43 provided in through holes 42 and 44 formed in the rear cover 27 so as to be in contact with the electrodes and for electrically connecting the electrodes to the data communication part, a waterproof member 49 for preventing liquid from intruding into the case 28 through the through holes 42 and 44, and a power supply 25 for feeding power to the watch part 24 and the data communication part 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
