Guidance of the rotating screws keeps their shafts at constant mutual separation, centered in their casings. Preferred features: The casing is cooled, but not the region of shaft guidance, provided by sealed, self-lubricating bearings. Bearings are inserted and fixed in the casing. Screw sections are compatible with the casing, in terms of the practical galvanic series, being especially in stainless steel. Non-cooled inserts are located between the casings near the bearing locations. They are thermally insulating, or else conductive and separated by an insulant from the casing on both sides. The inserts can be tempered near the supports.
