PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that excessive machinery is necessary when a pressure gauge is arranged in relation to the replacing period of an element constituting a filter, and accuracy lacks in the case of the replacement of the filter after the elapse of a definite time and there is troublesomeness on a user's side when the filter is replaced on the basis of the peripheral state of the element or the stained state of the taken-out filter. SOLUTION: In the filter constituted of a housing cover 32, the housing base 31 forming both of an inflow passage 31a and an outflow passage 31b and supporting the housing cover 32 to join the same and the element 33 for removing various foreign matters in the inner space formed by the housing cover 32 and the housing base 31, the housing cover 32 is made entirely or partially transparent so that the element 33 housed in the housing cover can be seen from the outside and a discharge pipe 34 is fixed to the outflow passage 31b side so that a height difference between the inflow passage 31a and the outflow passage 31b can be ensured when the housing cover 32 and the housing base 31 are joined to be positioned in an up and down direction.
