PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing device and method capable of shortening the installing time of an air conditioner, improving a finished state, and improving a condensation state.

SOLUTION: A partition plate 13 is provided in the inside of an installing frame 7. A movement adjusting device is equipped, which moves the position of the partition plate 13 in regard to the installing frame 7 fixed with an installing frame side supporter 18 by rotating an adjusting screw rod 17 inserted in a partition plate side supporter 15 fixing a main body unit 2. A front end surface of the partition plate 13 and a surface of a wall is made to be the same surface by the movement adjusting device.
