PURPOSE: A cover for a vacuum cleaner and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the cover from easily damaged and scratched by covering a base cover plate with a metallic cover plate. CONSTITUTION: A cover for a vacuum cleaner is composed of a base cover plate(110) having coupling holes(114,115) and formed by injection molding, a metallic cover plate(120) having slits(123,124) corresponding to the coupling holes, and an injection coupling member. The metallic cover plate adheres closely to the top of the base cover plate, and covers the base cover plate. The injection coupling member is inserted into the coupling hole and the slit, and couples the base cover plate with the metallic cover plate.
