<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor element that has a small amount of moisture via an air introduction hole, can rapidly raise temperature, and has large element strength. <P>SOLUTION: The oxygen sensor element 1 is provided with: a flat substrate 2 that is made of a ceramic solid electrolyte and has the air introduction hole 3; a reference electrode 4 formed on the inner wall of the air introduction hole 3; a measuring electrode 5 formed on the outer surface of the substrate 2 opposite to the reference electrode 4; and furthermore, a heater section where an electrical heating element 6 is buried into a ceramic insulating layer 7. The air introduction hole 3 is filled with porous ceramic 9 that is made of ceramics with aluminum, zirconia, and spinel as main constituents and has a porosity of 30 to 70%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
