<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improve manufacturing method of a thermally stable polycarbonate which is used in an optical application and the manufacture of a corresponding molding. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an emulsion comprises mixing an aqueous mineral acid containing phosphorus in an organic solvent on a sufficient strength to form continuously the uniform emulsion. The polycarbonate having highly thermal stability is manufactured by mixing the obtained emulsion with an organic polycarbonate solution which is cleaned without using the mineral acid containing phosphorus in a conventional phase interfacial method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
