<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form high-visibility dot patterns uniformed in a shape, a size and the like by applying a stable energy at all times to a body to be printed irrespective of a transfer speed of the body to be printed and an irradiation time of a laser. <P>SOLUTION: In forming a plurality of dot patterns within a sequence of dot pattern regions, a motor 72 is controlled by a focal point position control part 74 on the basis of the transfer speed of an X ray film 12 dependent on a time related from a start to an end of the dot pattern formation, thereby mechanically controlling a focal point position. A fluctuation of the focal point position due to the storage of a heat energy of laser beams into a beam deflector (AOM) 46 is thus offset, enabling marking by the dot patterns uniformed in terms of the shape and the size.
