PURPOSE: A noble Ti(CN) based cermet having excellent wear resistance and impact resistance by obtaining superior alloy characteristics and cutting performance compared to conventional Ti(CN) based cermet is provided, and a manufacturing method of the same is provided. CONSTITUTION: The Ti(CN) based cermet containing Zr and Hf is characterized in that it is formed of an alloy comprising 50 wt.% or more of Ti(CxNyOz), 10 wt.% or less of Ni and 10 wt.% or less of Co as principal constituents, and 1 wt.% or less of one or more compounds selected from Zr(CxNyOz), Hf(CxNyOz) and (HfaZrb)(CxNyOz) and 40 wt.% or less of one or more compounds selected from Me(CxNyOz) (where Me is a metal selected from Va group or VIa group in the periodic table) as additives, wherein all of x, y and z satisfy relational expression of 0<x+y+z<=1, a and b satisfy relational expression of 0<a+b<=1, and wherein the Me is selected from the group consisting of V, Cr, Nb, Ta, Mo and W.
