The mains socket (100) has a well (102) for a mains plug and disconnection (200) facilitating retraction of the plug. the retraction mechanism has a button pusher (210). A plate pusher (220) and lever (230) provides the plug movement. The lever acts with the plate pusher in two zones at the edge of the peripheral edge (221) of the plate pusher.
